I'm a twenty-something New York transplant, originally from East Africa, but grew up in Chicago (proper, might I add!). I studied politics and Arabic, among a mélange of things, at Pomona College in southern California. Convincing myself to leave beautiful, warm weather, for life on the edge and in the cold, I found myself here.

After a stint at Foursquare on the community team, I worked on launching Hailo in New York and subsequently, managing the incredible community of fundraisers at charity: water. Now, you can find me working at Incandescent, a management consulting firm discovering better ways to create, build and run organizations.

I'm fascinated by technology, specifically how we can use it to make the world even more livable for a greater number of people.
